Welcome to ChrisMercer.net.

I’ve spent most of my professional life helping business owners, attorneys, and advisors understand and build value. I’m Chairman of Mercer Capital, which I founded in 1982. Today, I’m semi-retired—working with a few long-standing clients and focusing on a few projects that I find interesting and challenging. Over time, my focus has shifted. From building value…to thinking more about what that value is for. This blog reflects that shift. I write about applying the same principles that guided my professional life—discipline, long-term thinking, and stewardship—to life itself. That includes caring for health, maintaining perspective, strengthening relationships, and making the most of the time ahead. I don’t claim to have all the answers. But I am working on the questions. I’ve spent a lifetime building value—and I’m now focused on living it.
